About the Band...

Originally based on a dare, Super Tuesday formed as an alternative rock band in the summer of 1997. Often referred to as "who are they", we spent that first year honing our skills at some of Madison's most influential house parties, barns & loading docks. After a few years of experimenting with different formats, changing members, and buying a lot of equipment, we decided it was time to expand to audiences outside of our family and friends.

Today, Super Tuesday is one of the area's most fun bands to party with. With a wide mix of music hits spanning the 70's to today, including rock, country and dance artists like Kelly Clarkson, Bryan Adams, John Mellencamp, Pink, Bon Jovi, Gretchen Wilson, Reo Speedwagon, Alabama, Carrie Underwood and U2.

Dia
Lead Vocals / Misc. Stuff
Just a small town girl living in a lonely world, she took the midnight train going anywhere. Alright, she stole that line from Journey, so what! Dia's not much of a song writer, however she can sing and has been belting it at the top of her lungs for the past seven years with SuperTuesday. She couldn’t imagine a better way to spend her weekends than to rock out with her bandmates and the best crowds in Madison. She treats every show like it’s her first, and her energy and enthusiasm definitely shine through. After all, it means she gets to buy a new outfit as well as partake in a few Bud Lights. YUMMY! In all seriousness, she loves what she does just as much she loves all of the amazing people she has met over her stint in the band

Andy
Lead Vocals / Acoustic Guitar / Harmonica
Andy has played with some of the best musicians in Madison: Wild Heart, Big Brother Billy and The Area Men, which made joining SuperTuesday a curious choice. A veteran of the country music scene, he has had to catch up on more than 20 years of pop music in 3 months and is now able to differentiate between Maroon 5 and 3 Doors Down. While he is not yet an expert, Andy is always available to answer any top-40 related questions.

David
Lead Guitar / Vocals
Some people collect stamps, others collect cars. Dave collects guitars, amps and effects. Since joining SuperTuesday in 1998, Dave’s problem has grown from an occasional purchase, to a “piece of gear a month” habit, including efforts to involve others in his addiction. Its not our place to judge, but we're planning an intervention for later this summer. If you find Dave apologizing before a show, he could be on step 5 of his 12-step program.

Maryellen
Keyboards / Vocals
Maryellen doesn’t play well with boys. From her all-girl band, The Misdemeanors, to Luck of the Draw and now SuperTuesday, she has always had another girl in the band to help plot against the boys. From her first SuperTuesday show, it was clear that Maryellen viewed men as “equipment movers” and to this day, has never moved her own gear. Men: We recommend that you avoid talking to Maryellen after shows or you will be put to work.

Craig
Bass Guitar / Vocals
Craig is a high-energy guy you're sure to see jumping, thumping and rawking all over the stage. We're fortunate that they now let Craig out for a few hours on the weekend to play with us. If you see him moonwalking across the stage or exhibiting other bizarre behavior, we just forgot to give him his meds. No worries though - he's harmless and fun!

Shane
Drums / Percussion / Beer Consumption
Drummers, as a rule, are not the brightest members of any band, and Shane is no exception. Since his SuperTuesday debut in the summer of 2000, he has been working on counting past four and is almost ready to add five and six to his repertoire. Shane is known for an aggressive drumming style and in the interest of crowd safety; we have recently been forced to put him in a Plexiglas cage. While you are encouraged to look, please do not taunt, point or feed him.
